People experiencing the extravagant and personal love of God.
Identifying and mobilizing our collective gifts, talents, and passions.
We run to the needs of the communities we live in.
The Christian movement that was born out of the faith and expression of Jesus and his followers can be experienced today. We make the choice to live in the knowledge and experience of a relationship with God. We engage in the process to be equipped and enjoy the unique purpose that God has for each of us. We are proactive about loving our city just as Jesus would.
We are a Foursquare Church. The organization was founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in downtown Los Angeles at Angeles Temple in the early 1920′s. The Foursquare Church believes in the Four fold ministry of Jesus Christ as our Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon Coming King. Learn more about Foursquare Church at Foursquare.org
Church isn’t as much about Sunday as it is about participating in God’s work Monday through Saturday. On Sunday we celebrate and learn so Monday we can engage our city.
Matt and Grace Kladnik met in Bible College in BC, Canada and were married 11 years ago on a hot day in the Northwest. They dove head first into life together as co-youth pastors in Southern California and the adventure hasn’t stopped. They served the South Bay for seven years then took the next adventurous step as missionaries to Australia. For two years they loved their city and fell in love with the Aussie culture and people. After welcoming the newest addition to the Kladnik family; Matt, Grace and little Polly Rae moved back to Southern California. They have been in Culver City since July of 2012 as head pastors of Vintage Faith Foursquare. They love living on the Westside and the diversity of the city. From eating at the food trucks off of LaBrea to the markets in Santa Monica from the beaches of the South Bay to the hills of Hollywood. The adventure continues and you are welcome to join in.
Lead Pastor & Taco Enthusiast
Matt can often be found at a local coffee shop reading a great book and drinking a hot cuppa. He loves a good burrito, going for runs outside, spoiling his wife and making his little girl laugh. He is passionate about discipleship and investing in the lives of others while equipping the local church to impact the city. His heart as a pastor is for others to realize their purpose and identity, through Christ, while motivating a movement of people to see change. At VFF you can find him using practical scenarios and humor to preach Biblical truth.
Assistant Pastor & Thrifter Extrodinaire
For Grace the best days are filled with lots of tea served in cute tea cups, playing peek a boo with her little girl, dating her husband and Mexican food…lots of Mexican food! She loves a good thrift store bargain, runs at the beach, and lending her time to her community. Her heart is to “do life” with others while encouraging them to pursue Jesus and encounter His love. At VFF you can find her leading worship, occasionally preaching, laughing with friends, equipping others and raising a family who love God and the church.
We can learn a lot from our kids.
If you have children (or even if you don’t!) you know that they can be some of our greatest teachers. Jesus recognized this:
Luke 18:15-17 Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”
Receive the kingdom of God like a child. What would that look like? What if we could be like our children, with their curious minds and fearless hearts, in our journey with God? How would our faith be different?
At Vintage Faith Kids, we’ll encounter God together, learning, sharing, and growing along the way. We believe that each child we encounter is a gift from God, so it is our prayer and heart’s desire to show God’s love to each one. We lay a Biblical foundation through our engaging, interactive teaching style. Our children’s church is a safe, nurturing, fun, and friendly place to meet with other children and grow in Christian love and faith.
We have ministries on Sunday from Birth through 5th grade:
Nursering/Mother’s Room: Nursing mothers are welcome to sit in the Mother’s Room located next to the Women’s restroom near the front entrance. Fully supplied for your nursing needs and a TV to watch the service while you nurse.
Nursery (Infant up to 3): Babies will be cared for in a warm, nurturing environment, with space to move around and discover new things! Please Sign In your child at the beginning of church, located off the hallway by the fellowship hall.
Kids (Ages 3-5th grade): Children will encounter God through worship songs, activities, games, and stories from the Bible. They’ll also enjoy a light snack, and plenty of free play so they can get their wiggles out!
Children are dismissed after the second song of worship from the main sanctuary.
Preschool (ages 3 & 4) go to the side building next to playground and
Elementary Age (Kindergarten-5th Grade) go up stairs to classrooms.
All of our children’s church volunteers are back ground checked and participate in ongoing training so that they are fully equipped to care for your child.
